WHEN TO USE THEM
Mild to moderate crowding of your teeth, space closure and many other types of orthodontic problems can be corrected with a series of appliances custom handmade and tailored to your particular case.
For most people a series of transparent aligners are issued at regular intervals by your Dentist and the desired teeth are moved slowly before the next aligner is used.
HOW LONG TO USE THEM
Each aligner is worn for about 2 weeks before progressing to the next one in the series. Aligners are worn full time (yes that’s 24/7) and only removed for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.
The number of aligners needed vary from case to case, so it is important to discuss this at your treatment planning consultation. It will be difficult for anyone to notice you are wearingTRU-LINE™ appliances they are so discreet.
Aligners are issued to you a few at a time so new aligners will be issued approximately every 5-6 weeks at your regular reviews.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER
Once you are satisfied with the result achieve you will use retainers to maintain the new position of your teeth. These retainers are also thin and discrete. The importance of this face of treatment is as strong as the initial face to have your teeth stable in the position achieved.
